Canada: Relocate HQ of Dept. of Agriculture to Winnipeg. Unlike with the other...
...Statehood challenges that call for the relocating of the headquarters of a presidential-cabinet-level federal department to that joining nation's national capital, this challenge calls for the HQ to be relocated to the joining country's province capital (Winnipeg) that is closest to the center of their nation. The reason is that this location is also closest to the center of the what is currently the continental US and thus closest to the center of both country's farming centers. This massive farming region will then feel the US government might understand them better than they currently do in the overly urban environment of Washington DC.
Future Challenges: First pro-statehood mega-concert in Canada to get:
1) At least fifteen of Canada’s Top 40 bands and fifteen of USA’s Top 40 bands to perform at it.
2) At least twenty of Canada’s most popular current and past ice hockey players and twenty of America’s most popular current and past ice hockey players to appear on stage and in favor of US statehood.
3) At least seven players of the Toronto Blue Jays and at least one player from all MLB baseball teams in America to appear on stage and in favor of US statehood.
4) At least seven players of the Toronto Raptors and at least one player from all NBA basketball teams in America to appear on stage and in favor of US statehood.
5) At least a million people to attend the concert inside and outside the concert stadium.
6) At least one parliament member to speak at a concert and be in favor of US statehood.
7) At least 50 parliament members to appear on stage at a concert and in favor of US statehood.
8) At least 100 parliament members to appear on stage at a concert and in favor of US statehood.
9) Majority of the Canadian parliament membership to appear on stage at a concert and in favor of US statehood.
10) The Prime Minister of Canada to speak at a concert and in favor of US statehood.
11) The US President and Governor of the State of Canada (former Prime Minister of Canada), to appear together on stage at the concert after Canada becomes a US state. The concert takes place on what was formerly the border between these two countries. This is the last of the concert series. [As with the fall of the Berlin Wall, people of both sides might take the “dismantling” of the border stations into their own hands (especially towns currently divided by the border, such as Derby Line, Vermont and Stanstead, Quebec) and this unification moment would likely be televised live to the world. However, this action might not wait for the concert and might happen at the moment the necessary documents are signed by both sides–or even once it is clear or possibly just likely that this might come to pass. Likewise, expect environmentalist groups to call and lobby for the discontinuation of the 20-foot-wide grass border between Canada and USA so it can revert back to its natural condition. Some environmentalists may even start replanting native trees on the grass border once the joining treaty is signed, if not once it looks clear or even just likely to be signed.]
First former Prime Minister of the Canada or (former) Governor of the State of Canada to become:
12) US Senator
13) US President
First TV production company to produce a:
14) TV documentary about one of the above mega-concerts in Canada.
15) Reality TV show that follows a concert promoter and crew who are doing a never-ending series of the above mega-concerts in Canada.
First pro-statehood weekend mega-concert rally to be carried live by a:
16) Local radio station.
17) Local TV station.
18) National cable TV network.
19) National broadcast TV network.
20) US cable TV network.
21) US broadcast TV network.
First radio talk show host in Canada to champion this challenge and:
22) Solo emcee a pro-Statehood weekend mega-concert rally in Canada.
23) Gets a sitting member of the House of Commons to come onto the show and publicly state that s/he is in favor of Canada joining the USA as a state. [As the Governor General of Canada appoints all the members of the Senate of Canada on the "advice" of the Prime Minister of Canada, there isn't a future challenge for that part of the Canadian government since it rarely opposes the will of the Prime Minister.]
24) Gets a sitting member of the US House to come onto the show and publicly state that s/he is in favor of Canada joining the USA as a state.
25) Gets a sitting member of the US Senate to come onto the show and publicly state that s/he is in favor of Canada joining the USA as a state.
26) Gets the Prime Minister of Canada to come onto the show and publicly state that s/he is in favor of Canada joining the USA as a state.
