Cancer: First to invent a virus that only infects, replicates in, and bursts (destroys) a specific...

...type of cancer cell.  Once cancer cell types are all destroyed, the virus starves and dies.  [Each year, 7.6 million people die of cancer world-wide.  It is the second leading cause of death in the USA, exceeded only by heart disease.  This challenge's goal is to make cancer like polio: essentially extinct.]

Future Challenges: First to invent a virus that does the above:

1) But with a different specific type of cancer cell.

2) To all known cancer cell types.

3) Same as Future Challenge #2 but has a tiny percentage of the virus that does not die off but goes dormant for a long period of time (possibly a year), revives and replicates itself, does its job, and then a tiny percentage of it goes dormant again once all cancer cells have been destroyed.

4) First cancer victim to have all of her/his cancer cells destroyed by one of the above cancer-killing viruses.

5) First specific currently-life-threatening cancer (must currently be killing at least 1,000 people a year world-wide) to no longer kill anyone for three years due largely to the development and use of a virus that specifically targets and destroys it.  The "anyone" only applies to people who have been diagnosed with the cancer before dying of it.  [Some people die of cancer without ever knowing they had it.]
