...introduce a bill to Congress that becomes federal law that repeals the 1945 McCarran-Ferguson Act (which prohibits US citizens from buying health insurance across state lines) and then goes beyond that repeal to allow people to buy health insurance from overseas.  States can dictate which policies health insurance companies headquartered in their state can sell but NOT which policies their residents can buy from health insurance companies headquartered in other states or overseas.  [This change will reveal which Congresspersons are pro-consumer and which are pro-state and federal monopolies.]


Future Challenges:

1) First person to legally buy health insurance from another US state.

2) First person to legally buy health insurance from overseas.

3) First health insurance company headquartered in a US state to advertise its health insurance in another US state for the purpose of getting that state's residents to buy their health insurance.  The advertising campaign must have a budget of at least $2 million.

4) First overseas health insurance company to advertise its health insurance in a US state for the purpose of getting that state's residents to buy their health insurance.  The advertising campaign must have a budget of at least $2 million.

5) First US health insurance company to advertise its health insurance nationally for the purpose of getting US citizens throughout the US to buy their health insurance.  The advertising campaign must have a budget of at least $100 million.

6) First overseas health insurance company to advertise its health insurance nationally in the USA for the purpose of getting US citizens throughout the USA to buy their health insurance.  The advertising campaign must have a budget of at least $100 million.
