Showers: First to sell more than 100,000 gizmos that can be attached to any standard...

...shower head pipe that only allows water to flow for five seconds from the shower head if a bar is pressed and/or a chain is pulled.  The gizmo must not require a plumber to install it.  [Showers can use up to 50 gallons of water for a 10-minute shower with the VAST majority of the water being totally wasted.  Also, constant-flow showers forces people to turn around in the shower so their back acts as a shield against the shower spray so they can lather themselves up using soap and then turning around to rinse off the soap suds.  Being able to stop the shower flow will also make it easier for men to shave in the shower.

Expect the TV commercials for these gizmos to show how to use them to best effect, such as for shower/bathtub set-ups: 1) Running the tub spout until desired water temperature is achieved, 2) Pulling the spout knob to stop flow of water and redirect it to the shower head, 3) Turning the shower head to face the wall, 4) Pressing on the pressure plate (or pulling on the chain) until old water in pipes is replaced by water of the desired temperature, and then 5) Getting into shower and using it.  The commercials will also naturally inform viewers on how much they can save on their water and electricity bills by using the gizmo.  That and how it can help conserve water in areas where water is scarce.]

Future Challenges: First manufacturer of the above shower gizmo to sell over:

1) 250,000.

2) 500,000.

3) 750,000.

4) 1,000,000.

5) 10,000,000.

In the entertainment industry, first:

6) US broadcast prime-time TV drama to have all the showers shown on their show be equipped with the above shower head gizmo and to show characters on the show using them at least 10 times within a single season.  [Hollywood has a HUGE influence on the behavior of their audiences.  Viewers see the characters in their favorite TV drama do something and they will commonly want to copy them.  Monkey see, monkey do.  This is how to make such a positive change become a social norm.  Hollywood not telling us but leading by example.]

7) US broadcast network to make it network policy that all of its contemporary dramas have all of their showers use the above shower head gizmos.

8) Major motion-picture (premiering in at least 4,000 US movie theaters) to have the above shower head gizmo make an appearance in their movie and it used by either the movie's leading actor and/or actress in a shower scene.

9) Major motion picture studio (one of the "Big Six") to require all its contemporary movies to use the above shower head gizmo.

In the education industry, first US:

10) Boarding school to have all of its showers on campus (including staff and faculty housing) be equipped with the above shower head gizmo.

11) School system (elementary, middle, and high school) to have all of its gym showers be equipped with the above shower head gizmo.

12) University to have all of its showers (including in their dormitories and student couple apartments) be equipped with the above shower head gizmo.

13) State to require all of its government school systems and state-supported universities to have all of their showers be equipped with the above shower head gizmos.

In the hospitality industry, first:

14) Hotel chain (at least 100 hotels in its chain) to equip all the showers in all of its hotel rooms and poolside showers with the above shower head gizmo.  [Until these shower head gizmos become a social norm, expect hotel showers to have an instructional manual plaque next to each of their showers telling their guests how to operate the gizmos.]

15) Major hotel chain (at least 1,000 hotels in the chain) to equip all the showers in all of its hotel rooms and poolside showers with the above shower head gizmo.

16) First cruiseship (that has at least 100 passenger cabins) to have all of its showers (both for passengers and crew) be equipped with the above shower head gizmo.

17) Cruiseship line (with at least 100 cruiseships in their fleet) to equip all of their showers (both for passengers and crew) with the above shower head gizmo.
