...games so that they air live after local nightly newscasts Monday-Saturday.  October–April is regular season, May is play-offs and championship, September is pre-season, and June–August is rookie elimination try-out games.  Thong bikinis are allowed for team uniforms.  No shoes or pads are allowed.  High school graduates are allowed to try out for teams.  The League must have local teams in at least the following cities: New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Atlanta, Miami (or Orlando or Tampa), Las Vegas, Seattle, San Francisco, Dallas (or Houston), and Denver, as well as Western Hemisphere cities of Buenos Aires, Kingston, Mexico City, Rio de Janeiro, and Toronto.  Non-US cities must have at least 50% of their players be native citizens and none may have US citizens (current or former) as players.  To win this challenge, the league must exist, and be televised, for at least three years.


Future Challenges:

1) First time a game gets a higher Nielsen rating than one of the late-night talk shows (e.g., Late Night with David Letterman, Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Conan, etc.) for a night.

2) First time a game gets a higher Nielsen rating than the top-rated late-night talk shows for a night.

First time the league wins Neilsen ratings over all late-night talk shows for a:

5) Quarter (three-month season).

6) Year.

Creating a global sport:

12) First "Mediterranean Hemisphere League."  Teams set up as in the original challenge (including their late night play time) but their league consisting of teams from Europe (to as far as Moscow), Africa, and the Middle East (to as far as Iran).  League must have teams from at least the European cities of London, Madrid, Paris, Berlin, Rome, Stockholm, and Moscow; the African cities of Cairo, Lagos, Kinshasa, and Johannesburg; and the Middle East cities of Tel Aviv and Istanbul.

13) First "Asian Hemisphere League."  Teams set up as in the original challenge (including their late night play time) but their league consisting of teams from Asia (to as far east as Pakistan), Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific Islands.  League must have teams from at least the cities of Mumbai, Bangkok, Signapore, Sydney, Auckland, Manila, Shanghai, Taipei, Seoul, and Tokyo.

14) Third annual "World Championship" where the champions of the three hemisphere leagues compete against each other for the world championship title.  The champion team must defeat the other two teams in a row.  The first two teams that compete against each other is rotated among the three teams each year.  The winner from that first game takes on the third team.  If the winner of the first game wins against the third team, they are crowned world champions.  If not, the winner from the second game plays the loser from the first game and if they win, they're crowned world champions.  This process continues until one team wins against both of the other teams in a row.
