Government Workers: In a US state that has a state income tax, first one to prohibit its state and...

...local governments from taxing state and local government employees/retirees and government contract workers/retirees; reduces their wages/pensions by what they used to pay in state and local taxes; and takes away the state and local government employees/retirees’ and government contract workers/retirees' privilege to vote in state and local elections and referendums (if the employee/retiree votes, they lose their government job, government contract job, or government pension).

[As government employees/retirees and government contract workers/retirees are paid with taxes, making them pay taxes is stupid. They’re paying taxes with taxes. This generates no real revenue for the government but only wastes government money on processing income tax forms filed by government workers/retirees and government contract workers/retirees.

As for government employees/retirees and government contract workers/retirees no longer getting the privilege to vote, they are/were public SERVANTS, not public masters or partners. They shouldn’t get the privilege to decide what to do with the money forced from real taxpayers any more than a waiter should get a say in what his tip should be. And taking away privileges from government workers is well established. In fact, soldiers lose even constitutional rights such as the freedom of speech, freedom of assembly, and freedom of the press while serving their country. Thus the deal offered government workers is a government paycheck in exchange for their voting rights. Since the elimination of the draft, involuntary service to government is no longer done so the choice is a voluntary one.]

If the federal government doesn’t impose a federal income tax on the state’s local and state government employees/retirees and government contract workers/retirees and prohibits federal employees/retirees and federal contract workers/retirees from voting in state and local elections, the state will not impose a state income tax on, and prohibit local taxing of, federal employees/retirees and federal contract workers/retirees living in the state and will prohibit state and local government employees/retirees and government contract workers/retirees from voting in federal elections.

Future Challenges: First US radio talk show host to champion this challenge and:

1) Help spearhead the state-wide petition drive within her/his state and if her/his state allows people to sign petitions online, to have a way for people to sign the petition at the show's website. If her/his state doesn't allow online petitions, the show's website has a way for people to request referendum workers come to their homes so they can collect the person's signature and then the host/ess encourages her/his listeners to go to the show's website and make the request.

2) By way of Future Challenge #1, the host/ess is able to collect at least the minimum number of signatures needed to get the referendum on the state's ballot.

3) By way of Future Challenge #1, the host/ess is able to collect more than enough signatures that if they were votes in the next state election, the referendum would win.

4) By way of Future Challenge #1, the host/ess is able to collect more than enough signatures that if they were votes in the next state election, the referendum would win in a landslide (winning by at least a 2-to-1 margin).
